Teaching Summary
My teaching experience spans high school through graduate education, reaching a wide range of learners from statistics majors to public health and clinical professionals. My approach to teaching is rooted in my experiences teaching in two unique settings: the traditional classroom and in summer mentored research programs. With course enrollments ranging from 20 to over 100 students, my teaching effectiveness has been greatly supported by the dedicated teaching assistants I’ve had the privilege to work with.
Recently, I have become interested in integrating my work in education and research with community-engaged scholarship. I have developed pedagogical approaches to community-engaged research in biostatistics that blend rigorous quantitative methods with community health priorities. In Fall 2025, my students developed skills in data literacy and storytelling, explored data ethics, and created effective data visualizations.
I have tutored children and contributed to educational outreach through organizing committees and guest lectures for programs such as ASA StatFest (an undergraduate-focused conference) and ICERM Go Get Math at Brown University (a summer math camp for Rhode Island high school students).
Below are a list of courses I have taught at previous institutions. More information about teaching is available in my CV.
